However we've been sat at the bottom of the steps to out doors and the door cannot be closed as it is a fire door.....we are are freezing as people are in and out....get a door that can close. We have been here multiple times but this is our worst visit. If offered this table again I will refuse it.

Wow, what an excellent pizza place. Food came quickly, pizza tasted beautifully fresh, was fragrant and was very nice. Decor was beautiful, definitely the spot to head to for pizza.

Really nice pizza the highlight for me was the doughballs which tasted very fresh. However the service was not brilliant as we were given the wrong pizza and given a bill which was not ours. although, the staff were friendly and they were apologetic, which was appreciated.

Amazing, by far the best pizza in Nottingham. In fact, better than the pizza I had in italy. Super friendly staff. The dough is perfect, soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. Very reasonably priced and fast service.

great pizza with good flavour, the tomato base is especially tasty. However, for the price there was a lack of toppings on both the chips and the pizza. We went at 5pm and there were already many items unavailable. service was slow, different servers said different things about item availability and it was confusing.

Charges a service charge would not recommend. Extra charges after the meal are always an unpleasent surprise. The owners job to pay the staff a fair wage not to burden the customer with it.

Been looking for an authentic style pizza here in Nottingham and this honestly has to be the best. I love how you walk in past the freshly cooked pizzas being made and all the staff are speaking in their language, it really adds to the authenticity of the place and it not just another pizza place. I will only ever be going to this spot if I feel like pizza again because it's just perfect.

Once we got there due to traffic that we had no control over (mind you we still notified them by email and followed all the procedures) we weren’t welcomed properly, we ordered starters and then the pizza and we were giving an hour which we were fine with at first. Then the cooks took 25 minutes to make our pizzas and didn’t want to give us our starters first, which was just rude. When we complained that they refused to give us our starters a woman in charge came over shouting at us and complaining that we wouldn’t have enough time to make it and eat it all in front of all costumers! But guess what, the starters came a minute after 💀we finished the starters in less than 3 minutes and we had them coming over every 5 minutes to check when we’d leave, so we had enough of being treated like criminals and packed it all into a box, leaving after 40 minutes. Ruined one of the birthdays of my family members and also gave us the wrong pizza and still charges us for it and the hospitality fee.
If you want to have a nice family dinner to relax and have a good time, do not come here.

I’ve had a lot of “authentic pizza” in the UK that never adds up. After living in Italy for 1.5 years it’s been so frustrating! But pizzamisu has by far the most authentic, delicious pizza anywhere in Britain! I’m so glad I found them. And it only took 7 years of travelling the island! Also incredible tiramisu!

The food was fantastic but the waiters all seemed to be students who hadn't been trained properly, plus they seemed very understaffed. They used to have really great waiters who were knowledgable and passionate but for some reason they seem to have opted to go down the untrained student path. Service was slow and clueless, and the manager on duty seemed more interested in chatting to her friends loudly enough to disrupt other tables' conversations than help the clearly struggling waiters. Staff were clearly unhappy and stressed which always has a negative effect on my enjoyment of a restaurant. We won't be going back

I came in on Saturday for Xmas dinner with my mum and let me tell you!! We had a very good time, friendly staff and amazing pizza. I would definitely recommend anyone to come in for any occasion.
Very straight forward, we got seated and order pizzas almost straight away. Pizzas came in no time. The pizza was cook in a very Napoli style.
Overall, this place won my heart and I’ll definitely be coming back. 10/10

I have just returned from Naples and already miss it, so when I had the chance to go to Nottingham, I couldn't help but stop at Pizzamisù. You can't go wrong with their pizzas.

As a Napolitan I have high standards when it comes to pizza. The pizza these guys create is the best I've had in the UK so far (I've tried a lot) by a distance. Great pizza and service. Very very happy and delighted that this place exists - such a treasure.

Well, I try to be fair and realistic after our disappointment.
We got a table upstairs where was cold, when we seated, the spot lights were on full vac, I was overlooking of an industrial storage fridge. It was feels like a food store not a restaurant. So atmosphere zero out of 10. While I said that downstairs looked like more stylish. Both of us are Negroni fan, so we started with two of those Negronis. It was a great mistake. Those drinks were nothing to do with Negroni. We just guess it was a blend of Aperol and poor quality vodka or gin. It was a real harassment on the Italian drink culture as well as my after dinner cappuccino, which was taste weak, without creamy milk froth. Disgraceful. Drinks big zero out of 10. Our pizzas was okay looking except the middle part under the topping which was soggy. The crust was lovely. The vanilla ice crem has a fridge smell and taste in my affogato dessert. I left it as it was. Food was about 5 out of 10. I did like my bottled Peroni Grand Reserva Rosso, that I never had before, but it's not balancing the disappointment of the other drinks and meals. I must mention no wine list in this place at all. No one asked after dinner how we feel or we liked the food or not. The service generally was rushed and bit careless. We paid 79,42 for a worthless food and drink.

I ordered gluten free veggie pizza, the taste was good, but it gave me stomach problems and sickness for 2 days an hour after eating. I couldn't sleep all night due to severe stomach pain. The pizza base was not fully cooked from the middle. This was my 3rd and last order,knowing that it was my only gluten free option,and is really upsetting.

Amazing little place tucked away. It's my sister and I's favourite place to eat when we pop into town. The staff are always so nice and helpful. My one recommendation to anyone who visits is to try the dough balls starter. They are so good!!

Staff were incredibly kind, welcoming and friendly and always had a smile on their faces.
Drinks and starters arrived promptly but due to it being fairly busy at the point of our visit the pizza took a touch longer than expected to arrive at our table. - No harm done plus not a big deal in the grand scheme of things as they arrived hot, fresh and we're very delicious!

By FAR the best pizza I've had in the UK - very authentic. Well priced, great portions, and the pizza itself is divine. Order a cotto, and enjoy.

It probably comes down to personal taste, but I find the pizza here a bit wet in the middle. Maybe that's authentic to what they're going for but it's not my favourite style. A friend of mine seems to prefer it like this so YMMV

Fabulous place and having been to Italy a few times - the pizzas here are very authentic and high quality 👌Children enjoyed their meal as did us adults. It was a great find and highly recommend others to book and try it out 🍕⭐

Visited when in Nottingham to see Newcastle defeat Forest in the Carabao Cup and stumbled upon this place. Fantastic restaurant, great service and extremely reasonably priced. Will be back.

As an Italian abroad I never have high expectations of pizza, but Pizzamisù was a pleasant surprise! We ate an excellent Neapolitan pizza, with soft and beautifully rich dough. Advised!

This is a great place! Found by pure accident after an event in the vicinity, I have been back a number of times now. It is just like being in a pizzeria in Napoli, but in Nottingham! Italians having meals, talking to eachother, Italian drinks and amazing Italian food. I cannot recommend this place any more, it is so good!

Delicious pizza, great service and nice vibes. The food was delicious and a huge size. Takeaway boxes used by a lot of people due to size! Really nice waiters too. And great decor. A must visit!

My friend insists on going here but I don't know why. Just been and left annoyed upon realising that when I ordered a pizza (that usually comes with mozzarella chese) with added blue cheese I've been charged almost £14 for the pizza (fine) almost £3 for extra gorgonzola cheese (fine) but the £4.50 for the mozzarella which shoulda been included and an almost £5 service charge. £52 for 2 pizzas, a water and a can of pop is shocking. Pizza was average....
To clarify following your response... there was a misunderstanding, I did not ask for extra mozarella. The person that bought out my pizza confirmed they removed the mozzarella from the cooked pizza and instead put a cold one on top. They should have said.... We've removed the mozzarella included on the menu and instead have charged extra for it. I would have asked for it to be removed then instead of unknowingly paying for something I didn't want.
Leaving a review shouldn't really lead to a debate but I don't like raw mozzarella and didn't eat it.
I suppose in summary I know for next time. Query everything and verify the price you will pay before touching your plate to ensure no surprises.

For an early evening walk-in, we got a lovely table on this hot night out in the back yard. Absolutely loved our sharing starters - the crocche, fried dough balls and burrata. Everyone loved their pizzas which were made to perfection. One of their specials, the Montanara, was super tasty. Double cooked! First fried then in oven. And the desserts were generous and delicious. I've been a few times before and was just so glad that family visiting from LA enjoyed it too. We also ended up taking some back home. They eat well cold and reheated for breakfast! 😋

Been there today for the first time. A very pleasant surprise i was expecting a decent pizza as i got it rrcommended from a colleague, but it turned out to be way above expectation. One of the best pizza napoletana i ever had. cant wait to be back!

As napoletan guy I want really spend some wonderful words to describe this amazing pizza made by Pizzamisu’ ! I m so happy that finally I have eaten an excellent pizza ! If you close your eyes while you are eating this pizza you can easily say “ I’m in Naples” because the flavour and the ingredients are fresh and they came from directly from Naples I believe so because the taste are the same...

As a Neapolitan i wanted an authentic Neapolitan treat after work.
We ordered 2 "Affogato al caffè con nocciole" (Italian Gelato with coffee shot and hazelnut ), but unfortunately for a total of £15.75 we were served with a single scoop of tasteless cheap vanilla icecream each from commercially available tub, not authentic 'Italian Gelato' which was floating in a coffee shot, no hazelnut, no presentation worth the excessive price..therefore we didn't return for dinner as planned.

Now I can honestly say, without a shadow of a doubt, this is the best pizza I have ever had, I was so annoyed with myself that I couldn’t finish it at the time, but I was so full after managing just over half. However, I was given a box so I could take the rest home, to enable me to eat the rest at a later time. Note - son ate it ????
Only slightest grumble would be the service was a tad slow, but lovely people, so friendly. Will visit again in the near future.

The food is very good and I can say that it is close to that in Italy, but the service is poor, the waiters are not interested in the guests and you sometimes have to wait half an hour to place your order.

This is our favourite place to eat in Nottingham, yesterday we had yet another awesome meal.
I have a nasty gluten and lactose intolerance, and my husband is vegan, so we recognise we're not always the easiest to cater for, but Pizzamisú always makes us feel at ease and never have a problem. Plus we needed this visit to be pretty quick and we were in and out within the hour.
We were served by Ellis again and it's people like him that make difficult foodies like us feel as comfortable as eating at home. He's never got it wrong, always checks in how the food is, attentive (not sat there with empty plates for ages for example), and just a genuinely nice guy.
Highly recommend as always (even do proper Italian white base pizzas)... I'd give more stars if I could ????

This pizza place was recommended to me by many Italians and so I booked a reservation to try their pizzas. I got seated quickly but I had to wait for 50 minutes to have my order taken. I don't know why other people that came half hour after us got already served with their food. After 2 times of asking if we can order finally waitress approached us and took our order. Was another 30 minutes until we got our 3 pizzas and I can honestly say it was not worth the wait. Pizza dough is stone baked and similar to most pizza places, except for toppings that were in huge chunks and generous. I will not be recommending it to my friends and will not be coming back myself because I almost starved by the time I got my food and pizza was nothing special.

Pizza is good but the service is impeccable. The team truly cares about what they do.I initially was not 100 percent happy about my order (decided on GF pizza) and have received a new, very delicious pizza in a moment with no charge! No judgement either. Really a privilege to be treated that way.

I came with 2 others and got the £5 lunch wallet margharita pizza. It was so delicious, with very good quality ingredients. The staff were all lovely and made us feel so welcone. I'll definitely be coming back again 🙂

Absolutely gorgeous pizza. Cannot fault it and if I lived round here it would be my regular. The place is wonderfully decorated and really feels like you're sat in a little restaurant in Italy, the food was fresh and flavoursome even the herbs on the pizza were clearly super fresh and you could really taste them. Sadly we didn't have time for dessert but we will definitely be back when we come back to Nottingham. Best pizza I've ever had in the UK clearly made with genuine passion and love. And incredibly cheap for the quality; my partners pizza was less than a tenner!

When it's not busy the pizzas are great but I've been a couple of times when it's been very busy and the quality of the pizza isn't as good, and it feels like they want you in and out as quickly as possible. Still one of the best pizza places around but pick your time to visit.

I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of this Pizza. We arrived very late but there were no complaints in just squeezing our service in. But that base was so good, so tasty, they clearly do something different to get them tasting that good. Thank you, I will be back.

Once I'd eaten some of the topping and base, I discovered that the base was mostly burned to a crisp and inedible.
As the waitress had already been past to ask "is everything okay", and my guests were already half way through their meals, I felt that it was too late to complain at the table and re-order, as the restaurant also closes at 8:30 on Sunday.
When I paid for the meals, and mentioned the burned pizza, I was told that it's MY responsibility to check the food quality before eating it. I find this to be bizarre for a restaurant that prides itself on quality - surely the quality of the cooking is the responsibility of the chef? How am I going to turn a very hot pizza upside down on its - too small - plate to check that it isn't burned black?
The waitress herself was very helpful and friendly, but the staff member at the till responded by criticising ME, not her chef.
I will NOT be returning to this pizza restaurant and, sadly, I feel that the restaurant will be happy with that, rather than keen to improve their quality and service when it's necessary.
EDIT: My apologies, I did forget to mention that there was a £5 discount for my, mostly inedible, pizza. The bill, for two pizzas (one mostly inedible) and two drinks was still £45.43, including a 10% service charge.
As I was at pains to say previously, it's not realistically possible to immediately realise that a significant part of the base of a plated pizza is burned black, without flipping it over before you have started to eat it.
Every time I eat out, I put my trust in a professional establishment that the food will be properly cooked and checked BEFORE it reaches the table.

The pizzas took quite a while to be cooked and served and mine initially appeared to be fine.
Once I'd eaten some of the topping and base, I discovered that the base was mostly burned to a crisp and inedible.
As the waitress had already been past to ask "is everything okay", and my guests were already half way through their meals, I felt that it was too late to complain at the table and re-order, as the restaurant also closes at 8:30 on Sunday.
When I paid for the meals, and mentioned the burned pizza, I was told that it's MY responsibility to check the food quality before eating it. I find this to be bizarre for a restaurant that prides itself on quality - surely the quality of the cooking is the responsibility of the chef? How am I going to turn a very hot pizza upside down on its - too small - plate to check that it isn't burned black?
The waitress herself was very helpful and friendly, but the staff member at the till responded by criticising ME, not her chef.
I will NOT be returning to this pizza restaurant and, sadly, I feel that the restaurant will be happy with that, rather than keen to improve their quality and service when it's necessary.
EDIT: My apologies, I did forget to mention that there was a £5 discount for my, mostly inedible, pizza. The bill, for two pizzas (one mostly inedible) and two drinks was still £45.43, including a 10% service charge.
As I was at pains to say previously, it's not realistically possible to immediately realise that a significant part of the base of a plated pizza is burned black, without flipping it over before you have started to eat it.
Every time I eat out, I put my trust in a professional establishment that the food will be properly cooked and checked BEFORE it reaches the table.
I would point out that, along with the basic costs of ingredients and cooking, the EXPERIENCE is why people choose to eat out rather than sit at home with a supermarket pizza.
In this case, my experience and that of the other people with me was POOR.

The pizza was really good and we definitely enjoyed it! The tiramisu was alright. What I did not like was that the place kept getting cold as people were going out to the back and leaving the door open. I was looking at other customers checking the door all the time, because it was cold. The other thing I did not like, was the inclusion of 10% tip in the bill, which I know you are allowed to not pay, but you are kind of forced to pay it because it is awkward to tell the waiter who served you that you want it removed. I prefer to pay the tip in cash, and I want to be the one to decide how much tip I'll give

Hiya , just a quick message to thanks for today. I came with my partner it was busy we didn't book still got seated. I accidently ordered my food wrong. They changed it free of charge even though I said Id happily pay for my error would order another and take that one home. . The chef and host were so nice to us as was our server even though they were busy. We didn't realise we had to get up to pay so thats why we sat at that table so long which may havee came across as rude. We were actully trying to do the opposite. Sorry we didn't leave a tip we just didnt have any real money eek x we will come back and tell our friends too, p.s my partner said he was really impressed he's never been anywhere where people have done that and they even if the mistake was there's. ( hes big foodie and eats out alot) So thank you again ????

Sadly we ordered deserts and when they arrived, literally within minutes we were told they needed the table.
The problem being that it took 15 or so minutes to clear our main course.
We ended up having to rush and had to neck a warm coffee. Not the best way to end an enjoyable meal.

I’ve been here a few times before and it has always been decent. However recently I think standards are slipping and it is not what it once was. The pizzas almost seemed not stretched out enough, the middle was way too thick and the crusts size overpowered everything else, even for a Neapolitan pizza.
Also we requested extra toppings and spoke with the waiter to confirm the olives were not kalamata. He promised they were black olives and recommended them to us. I even asked him to double check before putting them on. Both pizzas then came with Kalamata olives and when we told the waiter all he said was sorry he won’t recommend them to us again next time then. The bill then came with olives on both pizzas and a service charge. Bad experience and I won’t come here again unless things change. Apparently nowadays a service charge is added even for when they get your order wrong and give you false information.

We came for dessert only although have had takeout from here too. Excellent tiramisu - some of the best in Europe in my opinion; I’ve got a list! Too short a visit to get the full experience but enjoyed it nonetheless!

Perfect pizza with great service! ???? The staff were very welcoming and managed to find us a table even though we didn’t have a booking. The pizza was very tasty, I don’t think it could possibly be any better. The food arrived quickly and the staff were very friendly. This was my second visit, I’ll be back again in the future!

My boyfriend and I went there as a last minute walk-in and we couldn't be more impressed. We have been trying our way through pizza places in Nottingham and it's safe to say we won't be needing to try any others. The pizzas were authentic Italian style and were exceptionally nice and they were very accomodating for my allergy. Our server Sakura was friendly, patient and extremely helpful, as were the rest of the staff. Safe to say we'll be going back again soon!

Pizzamisu has been on my 'to go' list for years, and it was great! The restaurant is very cute, and all the staff are friendly. The menu is quite large and caters for vegans & gluten free. The pizza was delicious, reasonably priced, and on parr with the pizza I've had in Naples. I'll be back again!

We had a fabulous lunch at Pizzamisu. Our pizzas were very tasty and they looked perfect. The service was attentive and charming.

I'm sad to leave this review but I called 20 before closing and asked if could order the £5 pizza which I'd seen offered on a pizza board outside the shop. The lady on the phone told me that was fine and I could come now to collect. My husband came back with pizza that was folded in half given to him in Paper so his hands were burning. Having past the restaurant numerous times I'd seen people leaving with their pizzas in boxes so I was very confused?! My husband said when he went to collect, the man said they didn't do that offer at that time. He said he called ahead and was told by the lady it was ok and wasn't aware it was only at certain times. The man called the lady and she confirmed she had said it was fine to order. The man was reluctant to make it and made a quick pizza with hardly any tomato sauce and cheese on and folded it in half and gave it to him in paper. Because of the lack of sauce it was dry and hard to eat so I couldn't finish it. Clearly he had an issue and the pizza reflected that. I can tell that done properly, it could have been nice but unfortunately that wasn't my experience.

I love this shop. Best authentic Napoli style pizza in Nottingham. I’ve been to Naples which is the birthplace of pizza and had the pizzas and this is the best you’re going to get. Also I love th fact that the chefs that work their are Italian. Be warned it gets busy and the space is tight but that shouldn’t put you off.

We don't even finished the coffee when the lady arrived with the bill to the table without asking for that, then they practically kicked us out because they needed the table. Unfortunately we had been led to believe that this would be the best pizza in Nottingham. That was not the case. The pizza was drowning in oil and fell apart when we tried to eat it.
The service was also abysmal.

Unfortunately we had been led to believe that this would be the best pizza in Nottingham. That was not the case. The pizza was drowning in oil and fell apart when we tried to eat it.

Authentic feeling Italian pizzeria. Including busy staff occasionally barking at each other in Italian. And what that resulted in was tasty pizzas bought out quickly. Big and filling Neapolitan style pizzas. The range isn't as broad as some places and own pizzas get expensive but they are all quality ingredients and I'm tasty sounding combinations straight from the Mediterranean.
Going to have to share a pizza next time as the desserts sounded amazing.

Lovely and cosy place. We tried Margherita, delicious Napolitan pizza with sour dough. Loved it. Service is great, really attentive. Pistacchio tiramisu is a delight ! But be careful, the pizza is too big so you might want to consider that it might be big for one person ! Overall , would definitely recommend ☀️

But one other thing we noticed was the pizza always seems cold when we get it for take out - not an issue at all because it still tastes lovely, just feel they would benefit from storing them under a heat light or something for collection.

What a great experience! Food was absolutely delicious, one of the best pizzas we have ever had! Portions were huge and very reasonably priced. Would most definitely recommend and visit again! Grazie mille!

Very authentic pizza. Really enjoyed all 3 that I tried. Friendly atmosphere and very quick service. Being able to talk to the chef from outside through the window is definitely a novelty.

Very friendly place. My friend, her 6month old and myself went for lunch. Helped my friend in and out of the restaurant with her pushchair. Pizzas came within 5 mins and were delicious. Reasonably priced. Would definitely visit again!

Delight! Very good choice of pizzas! Most of the classics, some weird combinations and some very Italian. Many pizzas with white base and even with pistachio or mortadela or truffle oil. Very good choice and a very good pizza! Also waitress super polite and friendly. Definitely recommend! Great place ????

Their nduja pizza has always been my favourite. Their tiramisu is also absolutely the best in town. Had pistachio and new lemoncello flavour this time and both were delightful!

My previous pizza place of choice was Oscars and Rosies and sadly that shut down over Christmas. I had a few friends recommend this place and I can say is this is the best pizza place in Nottingham. Pizza was great quality, large and felt authentic.

The slice of Naples in Nottinham is not an exaggeration. The pizza is absolutely fabulous, one of the best pizza napoletana I had, soft and fluffy.

Only thing that let it down was we had the table by the door in the entrance way so it felt very crowded and in the way. I’d recommend asking for a different one if you’re looking for a table for two.

Wonderful find! What an amazing atmosphere, with food served quickly to our table. Pizza was fresh & exceptional. Would definitely go again.

Let it not be heard or said that I visited Nottingham again and did not drop by at Pizzamisu. Amazing staff members. They charmed us with their beautiful smiles. And the pizza, oh my my! The taste was heavenly. Beautiful place I must add with all the decorations. Please stop by and have a good taste of real pizza????

Single best pizza I have ever had, and I have eaten a lot of pizza. Walking past the chef's cooking is a great introduction to the place, service was wonderful and we had our pizzas hot & fresh within about 10 minutes of ordering. It was amazing, incredible value for money too, and then we had a brilliant dessert after. Could not recommend more.

First of all, remember to book a table in advance as it's a small and busy restaurant!
They make real Italian pizza, where all are baked in clay oven in front of the restaurant. Definitely worth going if you would like to try the authentic pizza without going to Italy!
Although authentic, I prefer pizza pi (just for my personal taste sorry).

Edit: Felt like I should have written a longer review as it was amazing pizza. So...I'd booked a table through Google for 2 of us, which was really easy. We were greeted by happy bunch of staff. Service was quick and so was the pizza! The pizza was incredible and a really good size (we eat quite alot and we were full!). We were happy to pay the £12ish. Well worth it.
We will definitely be back!

Probably the best pizza I've had in the UK, the dough base in particular is fantastic. It is 'knife and fork' Napoli style, too wet to pick up by hand, but that's how I like it. Will definitely be back!

Ate here on Saturday night and all I can say is wow! The most amazing pizza I have had in my entire life! All the staff were really friendly and the atmosphere fantastic if you are ever in Nottingham and crave good Italian food this is the place for you! I can’t wait to come back thanks for a lovely dining experience

Best pizza in Nottingham, hands down! It's always bustling and the staff are always willing to go the extra mile. No matter how busy it is, they're always happy to listen & provide friendly service - you feel like a family friend. We come back a little too frequently than we'd like to admit!!

Had an amazing experience here and would definitely recommend. The staff were lovely and friendly and the food was exceptional. I will definitely be coming back !

Ate here recently and was very impressed. Very tasty, authentic Napoli-style pizza. Staff were super friendly, especially Francesco. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because it was a little on the expensive side but I still highly recommend going.
